Equine Welfare at Kilbeggan Racecourse

The welfare of horses is of paramount importance at Kilbeggan Racecourse. Working closely with Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) and the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of care and safety in line with the guidance and regulations set out by these bodies.

Qualified veterinary surgeons are present on course for every race meeting, monitoring horses both before and after racing to ensure their wellbeing at all times. In addition, equine welfare support services are available on site should any unforeseen incidents occur.

Kilbeggan Racecourse is proud to support and uphold the principles of animal welfare within Ireland’s horse racing industry, ensuring the sport is conducted responsibly, safely, and with the utmost respect for the horse.
